News - Technology Collaboration Between CT&A and Geofields S.A.S.
We are pleased to announce the formalization of an agreement between CT&A and Geofields S.A.S., establishing a comprehensive framework of policies and procedures that will govern our collaborative efforts to provide integrated technical services.
This agreement defines the expectations, protocols, and shared responsibilities of both parties, ensuring full compliance with applicable state and national laws and regulations. Our partnership reflects a mutual commitment to excellence, innovation, and operational integrity.
About Geofields S.A.S.:
Founded in 1999, Geofields S.A.S. is a company recognized for its advanced selection on passive methods such as magnetotellurics (MT), induced polarization (IP) and its integration with other geophysical methods. Utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, Geofields enhances subsurface imaging to support both local and regional exploration — onshore and offshore — at a reasonable cost. These solutions are designed to reduce exploration risks, particularly in areas with complex tectonics.
About CT&A:
CT&A is a private corporation specializing in contract management, business development, and the implementation and commercialization of cutting-edge technologies and products. CT&A provides integrated interpretation studies, financial projections, and comprehensive support for field development plans across the hydrocarbon exploration and production lifecycle. Services span geology, geophysics, reservoir and production engineering, environmental impact analysis, infrastructure planning, well construction, and risk assessment — all with a focus on maximizing production and minimizing operational costs.
Collaborative Scope:
Under this agreement, CT&A and Geofields will coordinate and facilitate all activities required to meet client needs, while upholding the highest standards in project execution. Together, we aim to deliver superior solutions in resource exploration, development, and production.
We look forward to a successful and productive collaboration.

Both companies plan to collaborate on joint project execution, product integration, and training programs to further drive innovation.
News - We are delighted to announce that CT&A has joined Kalpra Tech LLC I the AI Driven Software “The Drake” sales and marketing endeavor.
Consortium T&A, a provider of AI Petrophysical Analysis for small or large volumes of well log data has been successfully utilizing "The Drake" in our production workflows on several projects and welcome our new partnership with Kalpra Tech LLC.
Now this application is available to Predict missing well logs with incredible accuracy. Well logs in the oil and gas industry are crucial for reservoir characterization and decision-making processes. However, incomplete or missing well log data pose significant challenges in accurately assessing subsurface formations. This technology proposes a novel approach, utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to predict missing logs based on available data. The proposed framework employs a combination of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms to extract meaningful patterns and relationships from the existing well log data. This application features advanced ML models such as neural networks and ensemble methods for predictive modeling.

News - The Society of Exploration Geophysicists honoring Dr. Reinaldo Michelena with the 2021 Life Membership Award.
Reinaldo J. Michelena
Reinaldo J. Michelena is awarded Life Membership for his consistent body of meritorious volunteer service to the Society. He has served SEG in many capacities. Most notable has been his work in publications. Michelena served on The Leading Edge Editorial Board from 2008 to 2011 and was chair in 2011. Michelena currently serves on the Translations Committee where he has put in a significant amount of effort. When he served as Translations Committee chair (2016–2018), he led a group of more than 100 volunteers in pursuit of the Spanish translation of Robert Sheriff’s Encyclopedic Dictionary of Applied Geophysics, which was recently completed. He was a corecipient of the 2017 SEG Wiki Champion Award for his efforts on that translation project. Also noteworthy was Michelena’s service from 1994 to 2001 as an associate editor of Geophysics in the topical area of inversion. He has served on many other committees including Publications, Development and Production, and Research. Michelena has co-organized multiple SEG workshops. Besides his volunteer service to the membership, he has been an outstanding explorationist. He has advocated for an integrated approach to applied geophysics with many significant contributions to our science, as evidenced by a long history of well-cited publications. He has been identified as one of the early champions of discipline integration, while always remaining an advocate for and promoter of the value of geophysics to his geology and engineering collaborators.
